Services for Caregivers

Your children are learning every day. They have the pieces — here is where we connect the dots.

This isn’t your usual music class or circle time. Connected Start is where movement, music play and learning connect. Here is where we set high expectations and build skills that give your child the greatest head start.

Circle times that engage, educate and enhance skills

During circle times with Miss Saira, we use props, puppets, songs and rhymes to build those early skills that will serve your child their entire life.

We will:

And most importantly…make learning fun!

(And it doesn’t stop there – you’ll head home with simple and practical learning tips to try at home!)

Developmentally Appropriate Learning

We create awesome programs that match the way kids’ brains work best. That means we keep things fun and engaging, while still making sure they’re age-appropriate and in line with how children actually learn. But here’s the thing: we also know that kids are capable of some seriously impressive stuff, so we always give them the chance to stretch and challenge themselves! Each new stage builds on what came before it, so they’ll be learning effortlessly and naturally, with a rock-solid foundation to support them all the way.

What Connected Start Can Do For You

“Having done a number of different classes for both my daughters, I can confidently say that I would highly recommend Saira as she by far hosts the best class for stimulating your child, educating them and helping them grow.

To me, Saira is incredibly supportive, empathetic, knowledgeable, and possesses an amazing ability to create safe, warm and accepting spaces every class.

The resources Saira provides are endless. They are excellent and very helpful to look at during and after the class. If you want to host or join a class with Saira, I promise you will not be disappointed. I have tried a lot of different music classes and other programs in the city and I find Saira is the most educational and she changes the class as the children grow and advance.

You are truly in the best hands, mind and heart in the city!”

Frequently Asked Questions

When they are engaged, they definitely can!

That’s why my classes are developed using evidence-based practices and fun-filled activities and props. Working with children as long as I have, I can quickly adjust and change gears depending on the child to keep them focused and encourage learning.

I believe my wide range of experience has helped me develop a well-rounded approach to helping children learn. I am an Ontario-certified teacher with over 15 years of experience (five of which were teaching Kindergarten). I regularly work with daycares and other childcare providers to focus on connected learning – the kind that fosters positive connections and helps children’s development.

As well, as a parent myself, I know how much you want to give your children the best head start in life and how much confusing and conflicting information is out there. That’s why I want to give you and your child a simple method that works.

I also want to help parents be engaged with their child’s education, even at the earliest stage. That’s why I give you the tools you need to build your confidence when playing with your child and support their learning at home.

Aren’t they great? Email me at [email protected] and I can point you in the right direction.

Of course! My programs are designed specifically so that you can do it as well! After each class, I’ll share one tip to take home so that you can build your own tools to help your child keep learning.

I get it – life happens! I try to be as fair and reasonable so if your child is sick, we can talk about possible solutions together, such as providing a make-up class or, if many children are absent, rescheduling the class altogether.
